Job Description
THE OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking an experienced Sales, Marketing and Proposal Coordinator to join our Bids and Proposal Team in our Eight Mile Plains office.
This position operates as part of our PMO Functional team. You will work closely with the key stakeholders of BD/Sales, Project Management and Engineering.
This position has the potential for the right person to own an important function and assume additional responsibilities in a company that is continuously growing.
Key Responsibilities
- Participating in sales and marketing activities including preparing marketing material and proposal strategies
- Managing and coordinating the execution of tender submissions, proposals and presentations including editing and formatting of documents prior to submission
- Liaising with a variety of internal stakeholders to drive the successful development of large and small bids
- Analyse and understand proposal requirements in order to advise the business of the resources required for proposal preparation and submission.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to prepare the proposal cost estimates for presentation and approval by management.
- Facilitate proposal preparation through activities such as workshops, coordination of peer reviews and following up action items from various meetings.
- Present improvement measures to management
- Manage the Company Sales/BD/Proposals archive to allow re-use where appropriate
- Ensure that bid deliverables are to the appropriate levels of quality, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with the bid plans
- Participate in the tracking and reporting of the Company Sales opportunities using the company-wide CRM database.
You will able to demonstrate: THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
- Minimum 3 years sales and marketing or bid coordination roles who has met and developed submissions within tight time frames
- A person who thrives under pressure and tight deadlines
- Must be able to hold and maintain an Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA) Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1) security clearance.
- Strong interpersonal skills combined with experience of managing relationships with colleagues, customers and suppliers.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills
- Exceptional proofreading and copy writing skills
- Ability to read and interpret tenders and contracts
We desire someone with: WHAT WE WOULD LIKE
- Australian Standard for Defence Contracting (ASDEFCON) experience will be highly regarded
- An understanding of Australian and international Defence regulations such as EAR and ITAR
- A recognised qualification in Bid Management such as APMP, Shipley,
- Understanding of business strategy and financial analysis
- Working knowledge of ERP systems such as Deltek Costpoint

Candidates MUST be Australian citizens as eligibility to hold an Australian Department of Defence Security Clearance is a requirement of the position. A current Security Clearance of NV1 or higher is desirable.
