L3Harris Micreo is a Brisbane-based subsidiary of L3Harris Technologies, providing design, manufacture, integration and sustainment of high-reliability Electronic Warfare components, subsystems and systems using wideband Radio Frequency and photonic technology to detect, guide and protect in extreme operating environments.

The Production Operator will be responsible for assembly and test of electro-mechanical products.

The shifts required for this role are rotated fortnightly between early and late. Early shift between 7.00am and 3.00pm and late shift between 3:00pm and 11.00pm.

What the role will involve

The responsibilities of Production Operator will include the following:

• Carry out manufacturing process in production and developmental assemblies using designated equipment and processes
• Carry out regular maintenance as per schedule and manufacturer’s operation manual
• Calibration and routine/preventative maintenance of the specialised equipment used in manufacturing process
• Contribute to the development/improvement of processes in relation to laser sealing and fine/gross leak testing
• When required, carry out minor CNC machining related tasks
• Carry out Goods Inwards inspection of mechanical parts
• Carry out electronic assemblies or subassemblies in accordance with documented methods and processes

What you’ll bring

The role of Production Operator requires the following experience and skills:

• Previous relevant experience operating in a Production Operator type role
• Experience in machining and assembly of electro-mechanical products and operating in an industry associated with electro-mechanical production
• 3-5 years of experience in hand assembly to component level of electronics/PCB’s
• Relevant trade exposure to CNC Machining
• Precise motor skills using controller
• Ability to perform work under a microscope
• Ability to understand and interpret technical instructions and drawings
• Ability to handle small and delicate parts
