Title: LeadConfiguration Management Analyst

Location: Cincinnati, OH (Batavia, OH)

Job Description:

Responsible for release and change of engineering technical data for the life Cycle and record retention period of qualified electro/mechanical products. Compiles product records, establishes new product files, changes specification records per engineering revisions. Validates Class of change for all Engineering revisions. Provides information as requested by the engineering department, sales department, cost accounting, etc., having to do with product, unit and part numbers and specifications, standard relationships, drawing numbers, etc.; issues new drawing numbers, part identification numbers, etc., through an established control system. Assists in analyzing and correlating specifications to standardized units and parts on related products to affect interchangeable parts.

Essential Functions:

  • Manages the implementation of CDM Procedures and operating instructions. Develops new operations aimed at improving overall department efficiency.
  • Accepts responsibility for such items as CI Identification, Change Control, configuration status accounting (CSA) and CM FCA/PCA audits. Reviews and analyzes released engineering change data and coordinates changes with engineering, quality, support, manufacturing, and engineering data control activities. Documents and supports determination of change impact on product. Ensures all documents have required approvals. Reviews engineering documentation to ensure compliance with Contract requirements andASME Y14.100.
  • Reviews Request for Proposals (RFP’s) to identify CDM requirements. Reviews SOW’s and SOR’s, for CDM requirements, determine if our current process complies with requirements. Supports contractual baselines and schedules. Coordinates CDM requirements with Customer representatives.
  • Ensures that CM CDRL deliverables meet SOR/SOW’s requirements.
  • Performs job tasks utilizing MRP/ERP (COSTPOINT) and Document Management applications. Conducts a project CCB. Process engineering change requests (ECR’s), Government ECP’s. Maintain Status Accounting records.
  • Conducts periodic Bill of Material audits for conpliance with Engineering as designed data.
  • Assists with formal and informal configuration audits.
  • After onboarding period will be requested to assist in new hire onboarding for CM or Engineering personnel.
  • Familiarity with Military/Industry CM and Documentation requirements.
  • Ability to obtain a DoD security clearance


  • Minimum Associates degree in Business/Engineering
  • 10 years of relevant configuration management experience in both electro/mechanical product change/configurationmanagement
  • Project management experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Working knowledge of Costpoint, TIPQA, Autodesk Vault or similar MRP and Data management applications.
  • PDM/PLM application experience a plus.
  • NDIA Specialist Certification or CMII Certification preferred, or obtainable within the first 18 months on board.
  • Previous personnel management experience.
  • Background in the Defense or Aerospace industries.

The candidate will have the ability to move into a lead management role once exhibiting a skill set that meets the above criteria.
