Job Title: Travel Coordinator

Job Description:Performs a variety of support tasks in one or more areas of the financial shared services: Payroll, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Travel. Responsibilities for Payroll include reviews and validates timekeeping records, prepares, compiles and maintains various payroll records to ensure programmed calculations in automated systems accurately perform all factors affecting employees' pay or accounting distribution. Responsibilities for Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable include checks and verifies records, prepares invoices and vouchers, posts ledger and general journal entries and/or balances accounts payable and accounts receivable records.

Essential Functions:

  • Works under limited supervision. Less detailed instructions are provided and minimal peer review is required.
  • Communicates with contacts typically within and outside the department on matters that involve obtaining or providing information requiring explanation or interpretation to understand and reach agreement. May be a resource to other employees in areas of proficiency.
  • Work may be structured within identified boundaries and procedures. Follows established processes to complete tasks. Identifies problems and issues in straightforward situations. Resolves most issues.
  • Works to achieve operational targets within job area which has some impact on the overall achievement of results for the team. Work is somewhat limited in scope, typically on smaller, less structured task-related activities.
  • Auditing and processing international and domestic expense reports, processing expense reimbursements and enforcing AP and Travel policy compliance as it relates to expense reimbursement.  
  • May assist with pre-travel processing and approvals, booking travel and processing expense reports.

Qualifications:

  • Developing job knowledge/skills
  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience
  • 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) 
  • Self-motivated team-player with positive attitude
  • Detail-oriented and attention to accuracy is key
