Job Description:

L3Harris Space Systems Geospatial has an opening for a Sr. Integration and Test Engineer - Automation Software Mission Applications, Space Systems to join our team of diverse qualified Engineers at Chantilly, VA or Colorado Springs, CO locations The individual will work in a fast-paced environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and a collaborative team setting.

This position will support the test effort for development of multiple ground-based mission systems and operations center from program inception to test verification and deployment. The Sr. Integration and Test Engineer - Automation Software Mission Applications, Space Systems will define complex test strategies to verify mission capabilities while working with a team comprised of multiple internal organizations and subcontractors for the full integration and test of the mission system. The test engineer will be a point-of-contact for the government customer for test planning and will coordinate across government and stakeholder offices to define the test and evaluation plan.

Essential Functions:

• Implements strategic goals established by project leadership
• Responsible for the assembly, integration, and testing of System Under Test (SUT) software and hardware components
• Executes all levels of testing (Integration, System and Acceptance)
• Configures and maintains production-like test environments
• Provides I&T support overseeing subcontractors
• Executes System Level I&T for developed control processing
• Tests and troubleshoots issues
• Documenting issues into bug tracking tool
• Develops test plans, test cases, and testing scripts for manual and automated testing, maintain testing records, documents and reports discovered problems
• Advocates for test priorities in daily scrum meetings and sprint planning
• Provides clear and concise documentation of software issues
• Collaborates closely with the SW development team
• Analyzes user stories/use cases/requirements for validity and feasibility
• Leads test development and peer review activities with little supervision.
• Ensures complete and accurate test coverage.
• Creates test to requirement traceability matrix.
• Attends and participate in project planning and execution meetings as required
• Ability to travel up to 10%

Qualifications:

• Active TS/SCI Security Clearance, US Citenzenship
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with 6+ years of relevant work experience; or Graduate Degree in Engineering with 4+ years of relevant work experience

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Experience with MagicDraw/MBSE and EggPlantExperience in Agile & DevOps methodology and culture
• Experience in SAFe Agile & DevOps methodology and culture
• Proficient at JIRA/Confluence (or equivalent)
• Familiarity with all phases of the software test life cycle
• Senior professional with strong knowledge of job area
• Possesses strong communication skills with internal team, external customer, and vendors
• Ability to handle multiple processes while testing cases and develop plan “fixes”
• Ablility to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices

In compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role in Colorado is $81,000.00 - $151,000.00 (salary ranges in other locations could differ). This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
