Job Title: "Sr. Operational Excellence Analyst"

Job Location: Anaheim, CA


Subject matter expert with comprehensive knowledge of job area and in-depth knowledge of project management. Manages large, complex project initiatives of substantial importance to the organization with minimal oversight or direction. Communicates within and outside of the organization to explain and influence changes to practices, processes and approaches. Makes significant improvements in processes, systems, or products. Provides input into new products/processes and implements operational plans that have measurable impact on business or functional results.


  • The Senior Operations Excellence Analyst (Lead, Operation Excellence) will be responsible for leading & managing day-to-day operational metrics of MPES-Anaheim and Gardena including managing special projects from time to time
  • Implement a strong MOS and governance process on various metrics reported across all sites to provide a weekly and monthly dashboard
  • Analyze manufacturing and supply chain related metrics using SAP ERP system
  • Responsible to ensure data for all operational metrics are updated weekly
  • Analyze the data on all the metrics and provide summary to MPES Leadership
  • Provide weekly updates on key metrics to MPES Leadership team and share the metrics during weekly review
  • Develop, improve, and drive a supply chain scorecard process across MPES
  • Interface with various functions within MPES and ensure weekly and monthly metrics are updated in required formats for review
  • Work with corporate data analytics team to drive to ensure the metrics align with policies in place
  • Interface closely with various sites and functions to present root cause and improvement plans on metrics lower than plan
  • Monitor the productivity projects by site and update periodically to the MPES leadership team
  • Work closely with the data analytics and ERP (SAP) design team to integrate/modify systems/tools implementation to the overall supply chain strategy
  • Develop agendas & lead meetings as required to accomplish objectives
  • Lead and manage various projects as they arise to improve various metrics and efficiency
  • Managed projects involving multiple manufacturing sites and multi functions

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities


  • Requires comprehensive level knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
  • Bachelor's degree (Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain or related technical area)
  • Minimum 3+ years in Operations / manufacturing related data analysis
  • Experience in Analyzing data and Presenting summary to leadership teams
  • Experience managing program performance and cost metrics within defense contracting industry (e.g.fixed price, cost plus, incentive-based)
  • Experience with formal data presentation tools (e.g. Tableau)
  • Demonstrated ability in data analytics and driving decision-making based on that data
  • Strong organization and relationship management skills
  • Excellent written & verbal communication

Desired Knowledge, Skill and Abilities

  • Experience with Earned Value Management
  • Experience in collaborating with a Program Management and Engineering centered organization to support IPT requirements
  • Knowledge of SAP/MRP/ERP and Advance Planning tools, e.g. Rapid Response
  • Experience with the application of Lean Methodology in the Capacity Optimization space
  • Prior experience in a turnaround environment
  • Experience with MS Project
  • Experience with database systems (e.g. MS Access)
