Job Description:

As a key Member of the Engineering Technical Team, this position is responsible for the planning, development, design, and execution of the program lifecycle for Systems Engineering, focusing on Digital Signal Processing (DSP), Tracking and Navigation, and Anti-Jam/Anti-Spoof at L3Harris in Anaheim, CA.  The Navigation/GPS products operate in military embedded real-time systems and can be used in weapons, ground, airborne, maritime, and space environments.

Essential Functions:

Provide algorithm development, modeling, system simulation, implementation and verification with emphasis on military GPS receivers.

Execute design, build, integration and test activities, problem resolution and verifying that the deliverable products meet all program and customer requirements.

Provide innovative Systems Engineering solutions consistent with business development plans.

Provide project management reports as required, support senior level reviews as necessary.

Provide inputs and reviews of the engineering technical baseline as part of proposal efforts.

Interface with the program’s leadership and other teams (SW and HW) on a frequent basis, conduct or participate in customer and/or program technical review presentations, and provide progress status updates on work products.

Participate in the product development process including design reviews.

Qualifications:

Position requires a Bachelor degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) or related discipline with minimum 9 years or a graduate degree with a minimum of 7 years prior related experience.

Demonstrated knowledge of GPS receiver RF digital signal processing (DSP) and hardware development/integration, or equivalent experience with RF systems.

Demonstrated knowledge of GPS or RF receiver anti-jam and anti-spoof techniques.

Demonstrated ability to perform Algorithm and Modeling and Simulation (M&S) development and analysis in GPS, GNC/Navigation, Signal Processing, or related field using C/C++ and MATLAB/Simulink.

Demonstrated knowledge in Kalman Filtering (KF, EKF) and other Adaptive Filtering approaches.

Demonstrated knowledge of Navigation Systems Architectures and techniques.

Demonstrated knowledge of GPS/GPS Navigation Subsystem requirements, design, algorithms and performance analysis.

Broad and practical experience in GPS systems and GPS receivers, M-code, ASIC and FPGA desired.

Active DoD SECRET or higher security clearance.

Preferred Additional Skills:

Must be able to work closely with the customer, subcontractors, and other engineering disciplines, and meet customer deliveries.

Must work effectively in both independent and team environments.

Must have excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
