Job Description:
The Product Line Chief Engineer (CE) - Military Displays is responsible for the technical execution on development programs. The Product Line Chief Engineer - Military Displays will partner with the Division level Chief Engineer, Engineering Managers, BDLs and Program Management leadership. This position will have visibility and interface with Executive leadership for Program briefings and will report directly to the Military Displays Division Chief Engineer, with dotted line reporting to the Product Line Director.
Essential Functions:
- Product Line level lead for Technical Baseline Reviews (TBRs), Proposal Cost Reviews (PCRs), and Independent Research and Development (IRAD) reviews
- Establish vision for technical direction of product line and ensure proper alignment with product and technical roadmaps
- Maintain technical rigor in engineering process and execution
- Lead and drive rigorous Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations
- Maintain Technical Program Measurement (TPM) metrics and utilize leading indicators to drive action on Programs
- Manage technical scope and technical change management
- Develop, present, and deliver comprehensive presentations to Executive leadership
- Ensure proper usage of risk and opportunity management
- Ensure proper resource management forecasting and staffing is in place
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement as evidenced by executed improvement projects

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Engineering, or related Technical field with 12+ years of relevant experience - OR - Master’s Degree in Science, Engineering, or related Technical field with 10+ years of relevant experience
- Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance, US citizenship required
- Earned Value Management System (EVMS) and/or Cost Account Management (CAM) experience with cost and schedule responsibility experience
- Experience with monitoring the technical aspects of projects from initiation through completion and/or customer sell-off / acceptance
- Proven ability to clearly and succinctly present technical information and ideas, including strong executive level communication and presentation skills
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Active Secret or Top Secret Security Clearance
- New business capture experience
- Extensive Systems Engineering experience
- Experience with executing throughout the full avionics lifecycle, including requirements flowdown and allocation, design, development, test, and sell-off
- Direct Government customer interface experience (e.g. US Air Force, US Navy, etc.)
- Functional management experience or direct involvement in resource management forecasting and placement
- Ability to work well across multiple engineering disciplines
- Experience in one or more of the following areas: processing and advanced processing architectures, information assurance architectures, displays, open-systems standards and architectures, avionics sensors and pilot/vehicle interfaces, avionics software, avionics mechanical and thermal techniques, system integration and test
