Job Title – Program Manager, Army

Job Location – REMOTE - Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD preferred

This position will be a remote position, pre-positioned forward with the customer base at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD


Manage #1 IRAD effort within Army group called Transportation Aggregation Gateway (TAG).  This is a $7.4M IRAD effort to deliver a software and hardware product throughout L3Harris and our DoD customer base to manage emerging SATCOM and LOS networks.  Expected long term value of program is over $500M in five years.  In addition, program manager will take on many smaller projects and support specific projects within large programs relative to the customer and product lines

Interface with Engineering, Operations, Purchasing, Finance, and Quality to support on time delivery

Support product help desk request, coordinate with customers to identify issue(s) and lead internal resolution investigations

Lead commercial product(s) and other spare quotes preparation

Lead the development of White Paper(s), Technical Volume(s) and Statements of Work

Lead proposal preparation including, analyzes of customer Requests for Proposals (RFP) and advises management and proposal team of RFP cost and/or price requirements, Statement of Work (SOW) or Performance Work Statement (PWS) deficiencies, and potential risks

Provide concise reports to management on status, potential issues, risks, and solution recommendations

Lead information gathering for new Technical Assistance Agreements (TAA) and other import export license(s) as required

Business skills and business knowledge required.  Complete understanding and current knowledge of industry practices is required.

Must be skilled in managing a fair work load and obtaining results, taking on additional responsibility, managing priorities and developing work procedures

Must be accomplished at targeting and achieving results, goal setting, prioritizing tasks, overcoming obstacles, establishing team standards and responsibilities and creating a results-focused environment

Must be proficient in accuracy and attention to detail, commitment to quality standards, making continuous improvements, measuring and monitoring quality levels, owning and acting on quality problems.

In time, position will be expected to manage direct report employees as the responsibilities grow. 

Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelors degree is required, STEM fields unique to SATCOM preferred.

9 years experience as in program management or related field in a DoD contractor company or as a DoD Acquisition Professional

9 years professional experience with advanced Excel skills. Pivot Tables, advanced filtering, ect.

Up to 50% travel on occasion and as needed

Current and active Secret, or higher, US Security clearance.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

Masters degree and 7 years Program Manager experience in a DoD contractor, or closely related business segment.

Current and active TS, or higher, US Security clearance. TSSCI preferred

SAP experienced preferred

In compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role in Colorado is $99500 - $184500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount my vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. L3Harris also offers a variety of benefits including: health and disability insurance, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, EAP, education assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and company-paid holidays. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements
