Job Description:
Plans and implements activities related to the procurement of aircraft parts, avionics equipment and supports other commodities as necessary. Compiles and analyzes statistical data to determine feasibility of buying products and to establish price objectives. Approves and qualifies vendors, obtains quotes, examines bids and makes awards. Follows up on all awards through completion of order. Negotiates with suppliers and analyzes suppliers’ operations to determine factors that affect prices and to determine lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and ability to meet required schedules. Reviews proposals, negotiates prices, selects or recommends suppliers, analyzes trends, and maintains necessary records. May prepare request for proposals (RFP) and bid packages. Negotiates and settles with suppliers regarding damage claims, rejections, losses, return of materials, over-shipments, cancellations and engineering changes. Follows applicable anti-corruption ethics, laws, and regulations.
- Sources, negotiates and purchases aircraft parts, equipment, avionics, services, and/or supplies necessary for operation of an organization.
- Compiles and analyzes statistical data to determine feasibility of buying products and to establish price objectives. Monitors performance of suppliers. Compiles information to keep informed on price trends and manufacturing processes.
- Evaluates areas of opportunity to leverage material acquisitions. Tracks data to keep informed on price trends and manufacturing processes. Negotiates with suppliers and analyzes suppliers' operations to determine factors that affect prices and to determine lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and ability to meet required schedules.
- Reviews proposals, negotiates prices, selects or recommends suppliers, analyzes trends, follows up orders placed, verifies delivery, approves payment, and maintains necessary records. May prepare request for proposals (RFP) and bid packages
- This position requires close, professional & courteous daily interface with internal and external customers and all levels of leadership. Applicant must have excellent communication skills and a thorough understanding of cross-functional interactions as they relate to Depot activities. Strong organizational skills, prioritizing, and the ability to multi-task and interact with several individuals at one is a must.

Qualifications:
- Procurement sourcing, negotiation, and compliance experience is required.
- Experience in the Aerospace Industry preferred.
- Candidate must be able to work closely with team members and have a willingness to learn.
- Good verbal and written communication skills required.
- Experience inputting and retrieving data in SAP desired.
- Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Ability to develop sourcing strategies that align with organizational policyFamiliarity with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS)
Education & Experience
- Requires practical knowledge of job area. Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.
Position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship. An active DoD (in-scope) Secret Clearance is desired.
