Job Description:
The Manufacturing Technician will be responsible for executing comprehensive tests on Maritime products and utilizing industrial equipment to ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications. The role involves performing various manufacturing processes, troubleshooting issues as they arise, and meticulously collecting and reporting data.
Essential Functions:
- Comprehensive understanding of relevant engineering principles, electrical and electronic systems, and testing methodologies. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot electronic equipment and identify malfunctions.
- Identify root causes and developing effective solutions to resolve issues encountered during testing.
- Meticulous observation skills, with the capability to record and maintain detailed and precise records of test procedures and results.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively convey findings to engineers and other team members.
- Professional and positive attitude, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Using test equipment, including oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power meters.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Physical capability to regularly lift up to 25 pounds and climb stairs.
- Requires work occasionally on weekends, off-shift, and overtime.
Qualifications:
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of six years of prior relevant experience or two years post-Secondary/Associate’s Degree with a minimum of two years of prior relevant experience.
- Ability to obtain a DoD Security clearance from the U.S. Government which requires U.S. Citizenship.
- Electrical or Electronic Technician troubleshooting related experience.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics and follow both verbal and written work instructions.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Familiar with Lean Manufacturing.
- Expereince performing pressure testing.
- Experience with ERP business systems.
