L3Harris’ DoD SkillBridge is connecting transitioning service members to career training opportunities within our organization. We will provide service members with valuable civilian work experience through industry specific training, certifications and on the job experience during their DoD SkillBridge internship to help them ready themselves for their next mission.

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR DOD SKILLBRIDGE JOB OPPORTUNITES YOU MUST BE AN ACTIVE MEMBER OF THE U.S. MILITARY WITH 180 DAYS OF SERVICE OR FEWER REMAINING PRIOR TO YOUR DATE OF SEPARATION AND HAVE AT LEAST 180 CONTINUOUS DAYS OF ACTIVE SERVICE.

Job Description:

Project Manager professional with strong knowledge of aircraft operations, maintenance, training, and broad knowledge of project management. Communicates within and outside of own function to gain cooperation on operational processes, practices, and procedures working collaboratively with the Program Office. Contributes to achievement of departmental goals and operating plans with direct impact on the departmental results.

  • Manage, monitor, and reconcile subcontractor transactions and invoicing for multiple offsites
  • Implements financial system security measures to reduce vulnerabilities, to include periodic reviews and due diligence tasks
  • Interfacing with Program Management, Contracts, Supply Chain and customers as the primary source for training, leasing, and services activities of subcontractors
  • Data entry to include processing of invoices, as well as, bill pay, procurement authorizations, and financial record keeping
  • Assist in market research for aircraft and training opportunities
  • Perform assessments of aviation training facilities, aircraft, and equipment
  • Assist in Aircraft Leasing process to include sourcing, pre-lease inspection, and liaison with vendor

Job Qualification Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of six (6) years of applicable experience. A combination of education and experience may also be considered.

  • Degree in Aircraft Operations or Aircraft Maintenance Technology desired. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
  • Experience in the following: Military & Commercial Aviation operations
  • FAA Pilot’s or Airframe and Powerplant Certificates
  • Experience in the following is preferred: SAP/Excel
  • Demonstrated strong analytical and project management skills
  • Strong communication skills (oral, written, listening) with the ability to effectively communicate to all levels within the organization
  • Self-motivated and strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with people of all levels within the organization
  • Ability to proactively solve problems and issues in a timely manner with minimal supervision.
  • DoD Industry experience ideal
  • Travel to support responsibilities can be expected (<30% of time)
