Job Description:
Responsible for performing functions associated with all manufacturing operations, including working with engineers in set-up and calibration tasks, as well as performing rework and quality testing related to the production of parts, components, subassemblies, and final assemblies. Uses sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate operating data to conduct on-line adjustments to products, instruments, or equipment. Determines and may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process. Works with engineers in conducting experiments.
Essential Functions (list out what job duties/activities can be expected daily/weekly/etc.):
- Performs rework.
- Testing, troubleshooting, and calibrating avionics electronics.
Qualifications:
- Requires developing job knowledge/skills.
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/associate degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- General knowledge of Lean or demand flow manufacturing practices would be helpful.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interface with team members.
- Close attention to detail and quality.
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment.
- Demonstrated problem solving techniques.
- Basic computer skills.
