L3Harris is on the lookout for an experienced Chief EW Development Architect to lead a team of experts based in Salt Lake City, UT. With over two decades of experience including EW system design and development, you will be at the forefront of advancing our capabilities in digital design implementation and EW analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and review EW design artifacts.
- Mentor and train a team of EW design engineers.
- Foster collaboration with design teams to ensure alignment with customer needs.
- Interface with customers to build trust and understand their requirements.
- Oversee DoD programs and spearhead internal research initiatives.
Areas of expected technical experience include:
- Proven leadership across multidisciplinary technical teams.
- Expertise in complex EW systems architecture, design, implementation, and testing.
- Electronic Attack (EA) and Electronic Support (ES) system design
- Proficient in FPGA development, digital signal processing, and high-speed interface design, Experience in either VHDL (preferred) or Verilog development language
- Skilled in technique waveform design and implementation.
- Experience with EW test environment simulation and algorithm development.
- Experience in simulation, synthesis, and placement software tools such as ModelSim, Synplicity, Xilinx Vivado / ISE and/or Altera Quartus development tool sets.
- Experience in laboratory debug techniques using signal generators, digital oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, BERTS, and other complex measurement devices.
- Multi-element array processing and systems
- Proficiency with advanced signal processing techniques, communications system design, algorithm development, simulation, implementation and documentation
- Requirements analysis and management
- Familiarity with code revision management tools such as Git
- Familiarity with C/C++/C# and Matlab/Simulink and/or Python.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 15 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 13 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 19 years of prior related engineerng experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- BSEE and 18+ years’ experience, MSEE and 16+ years’ experience, or PhD and 14+ years experience
- Extensive FPGA design experience in Digital Signal Processing systems.
- Demonstrated technical writing excellence with published white papers.
- Knowledge of communications systems architecture, particularly the physical layer.
- Active Top-Secret clearance preferred.
- Familiarity with Machine Learning and Software Defined Radios.
- Experience with industry-standard interfaces.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $187,000 - $347,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
