Job Description:
L3Harris is seeking a Program Manager to lead a growing program from through the transition from the development phase and into production and sustainment. The candidate will have proven experience in program management to include successful demonstration of program execution, customer satisfaction, and financial performance. Responsibilites include driving program execution to achieve key business and financial objectives for orders, revenue recognition, operating income, and free cash flow. The Program Manager is responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of the program. They act as the primary customer contact for program activities and leading program review sessions. The Program Manager establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocating resources or changing specifications. They may be required to generate proposals for new business pursuits and participate in the negotiation of contracts and contract changes. The ideal candidate is a self starter who is comfortable coordinating multiple parallel activities with a diverse functional team.
Essential Functions:
- Leads internal program team, and monitors all program activities to ensure compliance with product specifications, performance requirements, schedules and cost commitments.
- Manages programs through the integration of Earned Value Management System (EVMS) processes and procedures.
- Proposal manager for production Lots and ECPs by leading proposal effort from kickoff, cost and pricing reviews and cost proposal submittal.
- Leads or Participates in the negotiation of contract and contract changes.
- Identifies existing or potential program risks and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications.
- Ensures that all required staffing resources are available for the program.
- Participates in and contributes to internal cost, schedule, and technical reporting requirements.
- Oversees the generation, quality and timeliness of all written customer deliverables and reports.
- Interacts directly with, and fosters an excellent working relationship with customers
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 9 years of prior relevant experience; Or, Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience; Or, in lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience
- Good working knowledge of EVMS
- Experience with risk and change management
- Experience leading cross functional teams and interfacing with customers directly
- Experience supporting and leading proposals
- Strong leadership skills
- Self-motivated and accountable
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Experience with the Business Acquisition Process while working within an organization handling government contracts
Preferred Additional Skills:
- MBA, PMP, or Masters in Industrial, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- Experience in running or setting up sustainment contracts, repair depots, or similar
