Job Description:
This position, Program Manager (PM) for the Robotics Enterprise, is responsible for leading a program team on critical projects from request for proposal (RFP), through proposal delivery, to the execution of contracts, to final delivery to Customers. The PM manages large, complex project initiatives of substantial importance to the organization with minimal oversight or direction. You will be responsible for the financial wellbeing and on time deliveries of the programs you manage, including holding functional groups accountable for the execution of the program. This position requires the ability to travel internationally for customer meetings on a quarterly basis and support international time zones for key customer interactions.
- Responsible for briefing customer, user, and upper management on all facets of the program. Frequent customer, user, and upper management interaction is routine.
- Direct the work of functional employees in the execution of the assigned projects while establishing and monitoring performance to schedules, plans and milestones. The selected individual must set the highest ethical standards for self and others.
- Collaborate with Finance for requirements associated with Earned Value Management System (EVMS) data collection, financial and manpower forecasting, reporting, and variance justification.
- Oversee cost and schedule of your aligned programs, including managing risk and opportunities and employing sound change management practices.
- Lead overall integration of the program integrated master schedule (IMS) and track progress on the program.
- Communicate and coordinate with internal customers, such as engineering, finance, business development and manufacturing to ensure all stakeholders are strategically and tactically engaged on business objectives.
- Assist and/or lead pursuit activities in partnership with Business Development. The PM will help shape the business case and pursuit plan in addition to securing and managing internal funds designated for pursuit activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or combination of other training, education, and experience may be considered
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- 10% Travel may be required to support customer requirements
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Experience with DoD contract execution
- Experience with COBRA/EVMS
- PMP Certification or PLS training
- Ability to support occasional overtime work, including evenings, weekends and holidays as needed to meet business objectives
- Experience with Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Working knowledge of system-level requirements, design practices, hardware specification, and development is desired
