Job Description:
The Aeroject Rocketdyne Segment of L3Harris is seeking an HR Business Partner to support the Missile Solutions Sector's Huntsville, AL manufacturing sites, the Advanced Manufacturing Facility (AMF) North and future additional site (AMF South); which will begin production in 2024. The HRBP will be accountable for both locations once fully operational. The position will reside at the AMF North location in Toney, AL and will require travel to AMF South and the Huntsville Missile Solutions HQ building on a routine basis. This position will work closely with the AMF site leadership team to align HR strategies with business objectives and to ensure that the workforce is effectively utilized to achieve those goals. Must have excellent business orientation and be able to develop and deploy solutions to complex business challenges in support of a dynamic organization that delivers significant and sustainable growth for the company, both through the long range strategic plan and the annual operating plan.
Essential Functions:
Strategic Alignment: Align HR strategies with L3Harris, Aerojet Rocketdyne, Missile Solutions, and AMF business objectives, ensuring the consistent and unbiased application of various annual HR processes, initiatives and programs.
Talent Management: Oversee talent acquisition, development, and retention strategies to ensure current and future needs. Partner with leaders on proactive succession planning and knowledge transfer.
Performance Management: Implement and manage performance appraisal systems that drive high performance and support employee development.
Employee Relations: Serve as a point of contact for employee concerns, fostering a positive work environment, facilitating issue resolution, and maintaining legal compliance. Conduct investigations as necessary.
Change Management: Introduce, lead and influence organizational change initiatives, helping to manage transitions and facilitate effective two-way communication between with employees and between functions.
Compensation and Benefits: Work with the compensation team to ensure that pay and benefits are competitive and equitable, and aligned with the company's compensation strategy through salary planning and other compensation processes.
Training and Development: Identify training needs and develop programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
HR Metrics and Analytics: Formulate and utilize HR metrics and analytics to inform decision-making and measure the effectiveness of HR initiatives.
Advisory Role: Act as a consultant ton HR-related issues, providing guidance and recommendations. Provide coaching and counseling at all levels in the organization.
Diversity and Inclusion: Promote diversity and inclusion within the organization, ensuring that all employees have equal opportunities.
Organizational Development: Contribute to the design and implementation of organizational structures and cultures that improve efficiency and employee engagement.
Teamwork: Collaborate with COEs to develop, facilitate and implement solutions, programs and policies that support the strategic goals of the company, connect business value with talent, and promote a diverse, inclusive environment.
Ability to obtain a US Secrutiy Clearance.
Local travel across the Aerojet Rocketdyne Huntsville sites; in addition to potential business travel up to 10% annually to other L3Harris sites.
Ability to support varying shifts and hours to ensure successful operation of activities in the organization.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree with 9 years prior HR experience, or Graduate Degree with 7 years prior HR experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related HR experience.
2+ years experience in a manufacturing/operations site.
Preferred Additional Skills:
Experience with labor relations.
Experience providing consultative influence to leaders.
Experience partnering with senior business leader in the design, development and execution of human resources strategies and practices.
Graduate degree and/or SHRM or PHR/SPHR Certification.
Prior Aerospace & Defense industry experience.
Experience with organizational development and change strategies to influence and assist organizational change initiatives in a complex growth environment.
